Happy New Year!

Please review the following to help us all off to a good start in 2007: 

1. PLEASE make sure that your child's textbooks are covered. Needless to say books are at a premium and they need to last for a good number of years.

2. PLEASE make sure that your child's EMERGENCY DISMISSAL PLAN and EMERGENCY CARD INFORMATION (especially phone numbers) are up to date.

3. PLEASE, if you pick up your child by car that you use the designated pick-up spot located at the J-Hall exit doors near the gym. Please park your car and walk up the ramp to meet your child. Please do not use the Sandburg lot or driveways to park your car. Beginning Monday, January 8, 2007, all children who are picked up by car must exit from the J-Hall.

4. PLEASE make sure that your child is dressed for outdoor recess. Remember our policy is that if it is 20 degrees or above we take the kids outside for recess. We do, of course, take the wind chill factor into consideration.

5. PLEASE have your child's dismissal plan each day set before school in the morning. Any change in plans must be written in a note to the teacher. Please do not call the office for us to deliver a change in dismissal plan to your child. Sometimes the message does not get through as it should.
