Memorial Day is celebrated throughout the United States on the last Monday in May. It is a time to remember our nation's men and women who lost their lives serving our country and protecting our freedom. 

    It was originally known as Decoration Day and was established in 1868 to commemorate those who died in the Civil War.

    Through the years, Memorial Day serves as a day to remember all United States men and women killed or missing in action in all wars.
