Reading Olympics
NESHAMINY’S
THIRD GRADE READING OLYMPICS
The Neshaminy School District Librarians hosted the Second Annual Third
Grade Reading Olympics at Neshaminy High School on
March 29, 2007. Recently, the Third Graders
have enjoyed reading or listening to 15 different stories. Alll the
Third Grade teams acquired points within their buildings to earn the honor of
having their team represent their respective school on one of their school’s
two teams. Teams from Everitt, Buck, Ferderbar, Miller, Schweitzer, Lower South,
Heckman, and Hoover
Albert Schweitzer Elementary was represented by Mrs. Deeny's class. They captured top honors, receiving blue ribbons. Congratulations to our talented Third Graders! Many thanks go to Mrs. Lutz, our Librarian, for all her organization, time and work. Thanks also to our teachers, Mrs. Marcia Deeny and Ms. Kim Deeny, for all their assistance to help the students succeed. An
Awards Ceremony was held for the teams. In addition to receiving their
ribbons, the students received certificates from Borders, The Third Grade Reading Olympics was adapted from the very successful Reading Olympics organized and administered by Beverly Carey, Bucks County Intermediate Unit 22, for students from 4th grade through Senior High.
